Scholarship Description
For 2015/16, the Institute of Education, IOE, at the University College London, UCL, is offering the IOE-International Students House Centenary Masters Scholarships for international students.

The successful applicants will be overseas students who plan to work either in their home country, or another, to improve the circumstances of disadvantaged, excluded or underachieving citizens.

Eligibility
You need to be a student from a low-income or lower-middle income country (as defined by the World Bank) who has not previously studied or resided for more than one year in the UK.

Eligible groups
Citizens of ALL countries (EXCEPT UK home students).

This scholarship specifically targets international students from low-income or lower-middle income countries.

Fields of study
Master’s level degree programmes in Education and related Social Sciences offered at the University

Number of awards
Two (2) awards will be offered to the successful applicants

Sponsorship duration
The awards will be applied toward the complete duration of the scholarship

Scholarship benefits
Scholarships will cover full tuition fees and accommodation at International Students House

Method of Application
All applications must be via UKPass, using the special online scholarship application link (found on the official website via link below).

Please note that if you have already applied for your masters programme, you will need to apply for the scholarship in addition to your programme application. If you have not yet applied for your masters programme, the scholarship application is sufficient as it includes programme details.

DEADLINES:
You must submit the scholarship application form online before 16 March 2015.

PLEASE NOTE:
The scholarship panel will look for evidence of outstanding academic and professional achievement, alongside a persuasive account of how your award will help you to improve the circumstances of disadvantaged, excluded or underachiving citizens. Please ensure that you cover these aspects in your application.

The IOE will notify candidates of results in the week of 4 May 2015.
