Scholarship Description
For high performing students applying to a study programme at Mid Sweden University, the University is offering a number of scholarships which will result in a tuition fee reduction of 70 000 SEK or 125 000 SEK, depending on the programme one chooses to study.

Eligibility
The application for studies must be made no later than January 15, 2014, at www.universityadmissions.se.

The applicant must be admitted to one of the above mentioned programmes starting in the autumn term 2014.

The applicant must be citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, except from the following 12 countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.

The applicant must be required to pay a tuition fee.

Eligible groups
The Mid Sweden University Tuition fee Scholarship is targeted at top academic students from countries outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland).

This scholarship programme is not open for students from the following 12 countries:
Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. Students from these countries instead have the possibility to apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship.

Sponsorship duration
This is a tuition fee reduction for the period of your programme. The scholarship is valid for studies starting autumn term 2014 and cannot be moved forward.

Scholarship benefits
The Scholarship is awarded for a fee waiver of 70 000 SEK or 125 000 SEK (depending on the programme) for the tuition fee for the programme at Mid Sweden University the student has applied to at the time of the scholarship application.

The scholarship value is deducted from the tuition fee of the programme for which the scholarship holder is awarded a scholarship. This means that the scholarship will not be disbursed to the student.

Method of Application
The applicant should only apply for the scholarship after he/she have applied to be admitted to study at Mid Sweden University.

The application for studies must be made at www.universityadmissions.se and must be completed on or before 15 January 2014.

The application for the scholarship is done by filling out the online application form. The academic excellence of applicant will be assessed in accordance with the supporting documents sent in when first applying for studies at Mid Sweden University. The applicant does not have to send in the supporting documents again. Last day to apply for the scholarships is 10 February 2014.

PLEASE NOTE:
Applicants will be notified of the result of their scholarship application individually by e-mail address that was given on the application form. Notification will be sent out in the end of February, 2014 at the earliest but the latest in the end of March 2014. If the applicant accepts the scholarship, a contract will be sent to the applicant by e-mail.

Created on 1 July 1993, the institution was originally called Mid Sweden University College (Mitthögskolan) and was the result of a merger between the previously existing University College of Sundsvall/Härnösand (Högskolan i Sundsvall/Härnösand) and the University College of Östersund (Högskolan i Östersund).
