Scholarship Description
The Kingston University Undergraduate scholarships are open to prospective full-time undergraduate students in any subject area.

The scholarships will be awarded for each year of a three-year course subject to the satisfactory progress of the student. Foundation degree students (first year entry only) are also eligible for the scholarships.

Scholarships are offered for international undergraduate students for September entry; and scholarship applications for September 2014 entry will open in mid-February 2014.

Eligibility
You can apply for an award if you:
  • are an international student (classified as 'overseas' for fee purposes);
  • have an offer of a place on an undergraduate degree course or foundation degree course at Kingston for 2014/15 entry (first year entry only); and
  • are not currently registered on an undergraduate course at Kingston University.
Selection criteria:
Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
  • academic merit;
  • what you expect to gain from the course you are taking; and
  • what you intend to do after completing the course.

Sponsorship duration
Awards are for the duration of the undergraduate course -- for a three-year course, it is offered for every year of that programme subject to satisfactory progress.

Foundation degree students (first year entry only) are also eligible for the scholarships

Scholarship benefits
Kingston University international scholarships are PARTIAL scholarships, each worth £3,500. This means that you must make sure you can cover the outstanding amount for fees and living expenses yourself.

Method of Application
Remember that the scholarships application procedure is separate from the admissions application procedure.

Before you begin your application, please make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria. You must:
  • be an international student (classified as 'overseas' for fee purposes);
  • have an offer of a place on a course at Kingston for 2014/15 entry; and
  • not currently be registered on an undergraduate or postgraduate course at Kingston University.
Please also note that you will need electronic copies of the following documents to make your application online:
  • a copy of your Kingston University offer letter;
  • an academic reference letter;
  • a copy of your academic transcript/worksheet; and
  • a copy of your Academic IELTS or TOEFL result (where applicable).
It is important to visit the official website (link to it is provided below) for more details and also to access the online application portal (i.e. the Kingston University International Scholarships Application Form) when Scholarships applications commence as from mid-February.

DEADLINES:
Scholarship applications for September 2014 entry will open in mid-February 2014. In the past, deadline dates have usually been on the 31st of May of the intake year. The deadline for September 2014 scholarship applications will be announced in due course by the University.

Please note that the University CANNOT consider applications received after the deadline.
