Scholarship Description
Each year, the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) calls every interested undergraduate in Nigerian tertiary institutions to send in applications for the NLNG scholarship Award.

The award, which started in 1998, is part of NLNG’s Corporate Social Responsibility to Nigerian Citizens towards enhancing human capacity development.

Eligibility
All FULL TIME first year students of ALL Nigerian Tertiary Institutions Only.

Candidates must produce required documentations that are valid. Documents may include coloured passport sized photo, JAMB and other university admission letters, WAEC /NECO /GCE /O'Level or A-Level results, etc.

Selection criteria:
Final awardees go through rigorous and transparent selection processes organized. The best candidates are selected.

Scholarship benefits
The successful beneficiaries are given yearly scholarship allowances for undergraduate study in Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Do note however that the award has undergone several value reviews from N30000 (at inception) to N50000 to N100000 (last 2 years) to its current value of N300000. More than 500million naira has been spent so far on the scholarship scheme.

Method of Application
To apply for the 2014/2015 NLNG scholarships, the following steps are involved:

1. Register and create a user account on the undergraduate scholarship application website
2. Activate your user account from the account notification email message sent to your inbox.
3. Log on and submit an Online Application on the undergraduate scholarship application website
4. Await notification from Nigeria LNG Limited

Aside the 'NLNG Scholarship Online Application', other required documents to accompany ALL applications (in any of the following formats - JPEG, BMF PNG, and GIFF) include:

• Scanned recent passport-sized photograph.
• Scanned copy of JAMB and University admission Letters.
• Scanned copy of WAEC/NECO/GCE/O Levels or A' Level results.
• Scanned copy of School Identity Card.
• Scanned copy of Letter of identification from Local Government of Origin.

DEADLINES:
The deadline date for the 2014/2015 edition is not announced, however it has traditionally been three weeks from initial date of official announcement (i.e. Thursday 31st July, 2014).

PLEASE NOTE:
The following candidates need not apply:

• Beneficiaries of other scholarship schemes.
• Second (2) to Final year students.
• Part-time students.
