Scholarship Description
The Network for the Advancement of Social and Political Sciences (NASP) and the Graduate School in Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan (GSSPS) offer its doctoral programmes to all applicants the world over - both EU and non-EU students.

The PhD programmes, fully taught in English, promote international exchanges with top European research institutions and offer quality teaching at international level.

The NASP and GSSPS are accepting applications for admission to the PhD Programmes in Economic Sociology, Labour Studies, Political Studies, Sociology and Methodology of Social Research.

Eligibility
Admission to PhD Programmes is based on qualifications and interviews.

Participating Institutions
The Network for the Advancement of Social and Political Sciences (NASP) is a network of universities in Northern Italy, including: Brescia, Università Cattolica, Genova, Milano, Milano-Bicocca, Pavia, Piemonte Orientale and Torino.

NASP is based at the Graduate School in Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan (GSSPS).

Number of awards
NASP offers a total of 34 PhD positions covered by scholarships. The number of scholarships available for each Ph.D. programme is:
  • Economic Sociology and Labour Studies – 13 scholarship positions
  • Political Studies – 14 scholarship positions
  • Sociology and Methodology of Social Research – 7 scholarship positions
Sponsorship duration
The awards are offered for the whole duration of the programme

Scholarship benefits
Scholarships amount approximately to 13.500 euro per year, and are renewable for up to three years.
