Scholarship Description
The Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) offers the KAIST International Student Scholarship for both undergraduate and postgraduate international students.
KAIST is one of the top leading universities in South Korea, and once the students is selected by KAIST, his/her tuition fee is waived off and he/she will get scholarship based on KAIST policy.
KAIST provide Master's degree, Master's-Ph.D. integrated degree, and Ph.D. degree programs in advanced science and engineering field. Also, MBA programs related in finance and technology are provided on Seoul Campus.

Who is eligible to apply for Graduate Program as International Students?
International applicants must not have citizenship of Korea. Korean citizens who hold dual citizenship are not eligible to apply as international students.
International candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
He or she holds or will hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree (for doctoral applicants).
- He or she holds or will hold a bachelor’s degree(for master’s applicants) or,
- He or she is not a citizen of Korea.
International applicants of Korean origin MUST additionally satisfy ONE of the following two requirements.
- Both of the applicant’s parents are not citizens of Korea or;
- The applicant must have received his/her entire elementary, junior high, high school, and undergraduate education outside of Korea at the comparable and equivalent level of those provided in Korea (for master’s applicants) or, he or she received entire elementary, junior high, high school, and undergraduate education outside of Korea and also received master’s degree in or outside of Korea at the comparable and equivalent level of those provided in Korea (for doctoral applicants). But in this case, international schools located in Korea are not acknowledged as foreign schools. Applicants of Korean origin who completed their entire education (elementary, junior high, high school, and undergraduate) outside of Korea should submit the Certificate of the Facts Concerning the Entry & Exit issued by the Korean Immigration Office. The certificate should have been issued recently.

Sponsorship duration
The award is expected to last throughout the duration of the student's program at KAIST. However, the student must maintain GPA over 2.0 out of 4.3 at KAIST.
Scholarship benefits
The Scholarship Subsidies will include:
- Full tuition fee: tuition exemption for 8 semesters
- Living expenses: 300,000 KRW per month
- Medical insurance
The Scholarship Application Period is the same as the Admissions Application. And the Scholarship Selection Procedure is the same as the Admission Selection.

The Application Deadline for On-line Applications for the Spring Semesters is Mid August ~ September and for Fall Semesters is April; while the Application Deadline for Document Submission (Printed Application and Support Material submitted via post) for Spring Semesters is October ~ December and for Fall Semesters is May ~ June.
The Scholarship Application Period is the same as the Admission Applications. 2015 Semester Deadlines for the Online Applications and Submission of Support Documents are:

- 2015 Spring Semester (International Graduate Period): Wed., August 20th, 2014, 10:00 A.M. ~ Wed., September 24th, 2014, 5:00 P.M.
- Fall Semester Admission - April
- Spring Semester Admission - Until first week of October
